Currently physical inactivity constitutes a global pandemic. A study (Media Child and Adolescent Health: A Systematic Review) by Yale University School of Medicine and the California Pacific Medical Center shows that new generations spend an average of 45 hours per week exposed to technology. The same study reveals that there is a correlation between media exposure and children's long-term health problems.
In Mexico the situation represents an even bigger health problem. This is because Mexico is among the first places of childhood obesity in the world. When we carried out a study on the way in which Mexican children live their reality surrounded by technology, we set out to develop a solution that combine the advantages of exercise with their new affinity for technology.
Due to the current state of emergency, children around the world have had to put aside many of their activities in order to remain in confinement. This situation in itself has many challenges, however children can be particularly affected due to the lack of exercise and the stress that confinement entails.
We believe that one of the best ways that children can cope with this situation is through play and recreation. That is why we have developed InGoal, a game that allows children to connect with one of the topics that they are most passionate about. In this way, children can stay with you at home and enjoy a new way of feeling soccer.
